Sunflower Black Small is a small black oil sunflower seed. Compared with striped sunflower, black oil seeds have thinner shells and a higher oil content, so they are easier for small birds to crack and provide more energy per seed. They are a favourite of lovebirds, finches, cockatiels, parakeets and many wild birds, and are a common ingredient in bird seed mixes.

Feeding tips: Sunflower seeds are high in fat, so offer them as part of a varied diet with other seeds, pellets, fruits and vegetables rather than as the only food. Provide clean drinking water at all times. Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container to keep the seeds fresh.
